This holiday season we (the owners of Greenbluff Fresh Catering Co and Jamaican Jerk Pan) teamed up with our catering clients to donate full, hot, dinners for homeless women needing the services of Hope House. Hope House is located in downtown Spokane and is run by The Volunteers of America since 2001. They feed and shelter 34 women each night and are dedicated to helping homeless women in our community.
From their website, "Hope House offers refuge from the dangerous streets to any woman regardless of her mental health status, chemical dependency issues, or lifestyle. Hope House offers an environment of dignity, respect, and compassion that honors the intrinsic value and unique experience of every woman. Thirty-four shelter beds are available each night. Each woman receives personal care including: nutritious food, a hot shower, clean, dry clothing, hygiene items, a warm bed, onsite case management, resource information, and referrals to community resources."
We are grateful that a place like Hope House exists for the less fortunate in our community and also for being in a position to help those in need. If you would like to make a donation to the Hope House or are a restaurant owner wanting to donate hot meals, please contact them at firstname.lastname@example.org.
